New Zealand has opened its borders to international tourists by providing an easy online application process for entrance requirements via the eTA, or Electronic Travel Authorization. Citizens of 60 Visa Waiver countries can apply for the New Zealand eTA Visa online.

New Zealand Immigration now officially recommends Online New Zealand Visa or New Zealand ETA online rather than sending paper documents. New Zealand Visa application process is automated, simple, and completely online. You can obtain New Zealand eTA by filling out a form on this website and making the payment using a Debit or Credit Card. You will also require a valid email id as New Zealand eTA information will be sent to your email id. You do not need visit an embassy or consulate or to send your passport for Visa stamping. The New Zealand government implemented this regime in 2019. Citizens of 60 Visa Waiver countries can apply for the New Zealand eTA Visa online. Visa Waiver countries in New Zealand are also called Visa Free countries.

This eTA Visa contributes to the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy, which allows the government to maintain and improve the environment and tourist attractions that visitors to New Zealand visit.

All travellers visiting New Zealand for a short period, including airline and cruise ship crew, must apply for an Online New Zealand Visa.

 It is not necessary to:

• Visit the New Zealand Embassy in your country.
• Visit the New Zealand consulate or High Commission.
• Send your passport to New Zealand for paper visa stamping.
• Make an interview appointment.
• You can pay by check, cash, or in person.

This application form has a few easy questions that must be answered. The majority of applicants evaluated by the New Zealand Government before the launch completed this application form in two (2) minutes or less.

The Immigration Officers of the New Zealand Government decide within 72 hours, and you will be informed of the decision and authorization by email.

You can then attend the airport or cruise ship using either a soft electronic version of the authorized New Zealand eTA Visa or print it out and bring it with you. It is crucial to remember that this New Zealand Esta is active for up to two (2) years.

We do not ask for your passport when you apply for a New Zealand eTA Visa, however, we want to inform you that your passport should have two (2) blank pages.

This is a prerequisite of airport immigration officers in your native country so that they can stamp your passport with an entry/exit stamp for your trip to New Zealand.

One of the advantages for tourists to New Zealand is that New Zealand Government Border Officers will not turn you home from the airport because your application will be vetted before your arrival; additionally, you will not be turned back at your home country's airport or cruise ship since you have a valid eTA Visa for New Zealand.
